Dr. Tammy White-Jolivette, the visionary CEO and founder of "The Texture of Me," generates and creates from over two decades of expertise in the beauty industry. An authority on diverse hair textures, Dr. Tammy uses her artistic flair to create empowering, expressive hairstyles that accentuate her clients’ natural beauty, and serve as a catalyst for self-expression and self-love.

As a clinical psychologist, Dr. Tammy is committed to bringing awareness to the psychological and societal implications of hair discrimination, which she identifies as "Post Traumatic Hair Syndrome©." Her current research explores the complex dynamics of self-concept and social comparison theory as they relate to African American women's experiences with natural hair.

With a unique blend of cosmetology and a commitment to advancing clinical psychology, Dr. Tammy is a transformative force dedicated to raising awareness of the profound connection between natural hair and mental well-being. Her multifaceted initiative, "The Texture of Me," combines Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training, education, personal stories, resources, and advocacy to dismantle biases and discrimination related to natural textured hair.
